Sitting above the Z Master 2000 Series, the Z Master 4000 lineup adds heavier-duty components, larger engine options, faster ground speeds on select models, and a more robust commercial build. Toro offers the 4000 Series in multiple configurations, including the Z Master 4000 Pro Series and Z Master 4000 HDX Pro Series, giving operators a wide range of choices depending on deck size, engine preference, comfort needs, and daily workload. Toro describes the 4000 Pro Series as available with a variety of deck sizes, engines, horsepower options, and other configurations.

Across the lineup, you’ll find powerful commercial engine options, including Kawasaki® FX engines and Kohler Command Pro EFI engines, depending on the model. Examples in the current Toro lineup include a 25.5 HP Kawasaki® FX801V, a 26.5 HP Kohler Command Pro EFI, and HDX Pro models with Kawasaki® engines rated up to 35 HP.

The Z Master 4000 Series also steps up the drive system with heavy-duty commercial-grade hydros. Select current models use ZT-4400 integrated pumps and wheel motors, giving operators the drive strength and responsiveness needed for long days, demanding properties, and professional mowing conditions.

Deck options vary by model, with Toro offering 52", 60", and 72" cutting decks on the Z Master 4000 HDX Pro Series, while many Z Master 4000 Pro models are available with Toro’s heavy-duty 7-gauge high-strength steel TURBO FORCE® cutting deck. The TURBO FORCE deck is built for clean, consistent cutting performance, and on HDX models, the adjustable baffle helps operators fine-tune cut quality in changing grass and weather conditions.
